2025 LA Design Weekend Showcase

It was such an honor and pleasure to be one of the hosts for the 2025 LA Design Weekend.

The event gave us the momentum to complete a handful of prototype pieces, present commissioned work, experiment and play a bit, and showcase the work of friends and collaborators. It was also the perfect opportunity to reveal the potential of our new space—featuring live performances by the incredibly talented Snowhous, Pattern, and The Consulate.

I’m left with a deep sense of gratitude for the experience and would like to acknowledge the people who made it possible.

Thank you, Christopher Matthew, for inviting us to contribute to your vision for interior design and styling. Your curated fabric selections, cushion fabrication, showroom styling, and meticulous attention to detail elevated the entire space. Your generosity of time, labor, and creative spirit truly helped us shine.

**To our team of journeyman apprentices and craftsmen—Linz, Aedan, Keith, and Jorge—**thank you. Your hands brought ideas and dreams into reality for the world to experience. That’s a powerful thing to do! I deeply appreciate your time, dedication, and pursuit of mastery.

To our fellow designer–makers who contributed to the showcase—
Ale & Jonathan @ Snyder DePass
Christian @ Studio Septa
Magnus @ Cloud of Becoming
Hank & Blane @ Object Space
Greg @ West of Noble

It was an honor to share space with you. I stand for inspired legacy, and your work embodies that beautifully.

Thank you, Lina @ Joy Lab Ceramics, for your vibrant ceramic creations. Your pieces brought playfulness, color, and beauty to the environment.

Thank you, Peace and the team at Nysa Botanica, for providing all the beautiful plants that brought the space to life.

To the musicians—
Snowhous, thank you for your ethereal and inspired set.
Theo @ Patterns, your sonic craftsmanship and frequency mastery were a highlight.
Pasquele @ The Consulate, thank you for bringing the funk and letting me sit in to dust off some of my favorite keys and riffs. It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. And thank you to videographer extraordinaire Jordan Rennert for capturing the eve on camera and video.

Thank you to the team at Rotator Consulting for banging out some sweet Mars Built T’s on the quick. Thanks to Creature Comforts LA for providing the tasty brews, and to Joe @ Naebar for providing the yummy non alcoholic elixirs!

Finally, a huge thank-you to Holland Denvir and the LADW team for nurturing the design community here in Los Angeles. You’ve created a space that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and camaraderie. I’m often so busy creating for others that it’s a rare joy to create and play for myself AND the design community—and LADW made that possible. It was wonderful to meet so many people in the design community.

We threw our hat over the wall and went for it—and it was worth every moment.

Thank you.
